friends of the scrubs
The Friends of the Scrubs are a registered charity who have been working together to cherish Wormwood Scrubs since the early 2000s. They lobby on behalf of the scrubs to protect and preserve this valuable wild green in the midst of the ever increasing urban development around us.

west youth zone
WEST Youth Zone is a purpose-built space for West London’s young people offering 30+ activities each session ranging from sports, climbing wall and media to skating, drama and music production.

Sortie is a grassroots Community Interest Company (CIC) that helps people move forward in their lives. They provide support with finding jobs, accessing financial help, and connecting to other services. They also organise events to bring people together & reduce isolation.

For Brian CIC aims to empower people living with dementia and their families to design support that meets their individual needs, providing agency in challenging circumstances. For Brian is an evolving concept, co-produced by its directors in collaboration with its beneficiaries living with dementia.
bubble & squeak
In 2017, children at Old Oak Primary School launched Bubble & Squeak to tackle food waste. Partnering with City Harvest and later the Felix Project, they set up a weekly stall offering surplus food on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis. The project teaches children to run a community-focused enterprise and become socially conscious young entrepreneurs.

the purls uk
Locally run group The Purls.UK knit and crotchet warm clothes for the homeless and their pets. They provide support for disadvantaged and vulnerable community members.
cycle connect
Bikeworks Cycle Connect is a transport service that uses side-by-side e-assist cycles, allowing passengers to ride with a trained pilot. It is a social enterprise aiming to address isolation & loneliness, increase physical activity & wellbeing and provide equitable access to active travel. wormwood scrubs pony centre
We are an inner city community RDA riding school for children and young people, many of whom have learning difficulties and physical disabilities. We provide a safe environment for children and adults alike to flourish. Come and get involved by offering to help with fund raising, joining the volunteering programmes or taking part in any of our pony activities.
